MOC of the Month February Winners

The MOC of the Month for February 2019 Revolting Minifigures by Studnik Members lost their heads when voting for our February's best build with Studnik's Revolting Minifigures creation topping the poll. Studnik recreated a post-French Revolution scare with a twist with the executioners represented as Death itself. A great and thought provoking little MOC. Discover more pictures here. MOC of the Month January Winners Building Site by David The new MOC of the Month League kicked off with a super-impressive 8 MOCs up for contention. Clearly a lot of building was going on and David’s Building Site tapped into the mood picking up most votes to win the gong for January. Check out the creation as it develops and evolves from the first columns laid to the erection of the tower cranes here. Limerick Exhibition (October) We had a fantastic turnout for the LimBrickCity exhibition over the weekend with members bringing along lots of brick built magic to join in the fun. Among the items on display were a literal microfig-scale Ireland, an 18th century tall-ship, a Pub and Bazaar, a combined Ninjago City and Docks, a shopping mall (where one can buy more bricks) and a Hogwarts Express (to get home). Culture Night Exhibition Round-up We’d like to thank all those who came along to our Culture Night LEGO exhibition at the Civic Centre in Blanchardstown, Dublin and all our members for bringing along and showing their collections and creations. We were particularly happy to see members Nicky and Merlin display their fantastic wares for the first time. The exhibit was very well attended and there was a lot of enthusiasm for everything that was on display. Building the Community Competition Ireland by Peter (Studnik) And the votes are in! Despite stiff competition Peter’s Ireland has been selected by the panel as the best Building the Community entry. With just 2 unique parts used this build is both simple and not at the same time. Instantly recognisable this symbolic MOC uses a silver little microfig for each and every Irish LEGO User Group member. That’s right, all 285 of us are accounted for. Can you spot yourself?
