LEGO House invites fans from all over the world to participate in an online Christmas celebration - an informal and fun 60 minutes experience on Friday 11 December.

Your hosts of the event are Astrid Mueller, Senior Project Manager in LEGO House and Jan Beyer, AFOL Community Integration Manager.

For the event LEGO House and the AFOL community department have developed two competitions – and the winners will be announced on the evening. It is of course possible to attend the event without attending the competitions.

To participate in the competitions you have to do the following:

Build a Christmas model
Be creative and build a (Christmas) Holiday model on an 8x8 plate. You have to share one nice picture with us via email Jan@LEGO.com no later than 8 December, 2020 end of all time zones. Please include the name of your creation, your name and your country of origin in your email.

The model you submit needs to be designed and built by yourself and may only contain LEGO elements. You need to use a 8x8 plate as base. The LEGO House team will select the 3 winners.

Describe a Christmas childhood memory
Share with us your best LEGO Christmas childhood memory – write up the story in English with min. 50 and max. 200 words and submit it via email to Jan@LEGO.com no later than 8 December, 2020 end of all time zones. Please include your name and your country of origin in your email.

The LEGO House team will select the 3 winners. Please be aware that if you will be picked as a winner your story will be read to all participants of the event.

Everybody is welcome to sign up for the event – and there are even grand prizes to win in the two competitions. But please note that you can only win a prize if you join the online event.

Prizes include:

Might be fun to build the 8x8 one anyway and have our own mini competition. The winner gets ... a gold star from google images 😉

My daughter becomes a teenager that day so I won’t be joining either. Hopefully lock down will be over and we can go celebrate

I find out few days ago, I took the first place of competition: Describe a Christmas childhood memory.
My story is bellow.

Lego House prizes 1st place of Christmas competition by jarekwally, on Flickr

"I was thinking how describe in my story
the best Lego Christmas childhood memory.

It was many years ago,
I remember like it happened only a week ago.

It was snowing outside
and we were waiting for gifts to arrive.

This time Santa was a little late,
my sister and I could not wait.

While our parents were busy in the kitchen
we tried to find anything hidden.

When our mom call us to help with the food,
Santa went inside like Robin Hood.

He left a big red sack next to the tree
and inside we found many Lego, yippee!

We found boxes with Town, Pirates and Castle sets,
also my sister she got Fubuland pets.

I remeber that Christmas till today
and I wish to that feast day again."

:)
